It is possible to understand and overcome nervousness. It is possible to enjoy presenting. (Or at least not hate it.) It is possible to create story driven presentation that inspire and inform. This course is designed to help employees overcome their fear of speaking in group settings, meetings, creative problem-solving endeavors, and presentations. It helps participants understand basic structure, organization, audience management, slide theroy and more. Over the years, I have developed a series of exercises that help employees, some for the first time, communicate to a group without the crippling effects of nervousness. To do this, we explore a more conversational, story-driven presentation format. Participants should come prepared for an active course. Each section of the course includes exercises to reinforce content and changes. In longer courses, attendees will receive individual feedback and several opportunities to practice each skill learned. In shorter courses group exercises will highlight content and reinforce skills learned.
